The Activity we Experienced
What we chose to do
Great Pictures of Dolphins were Taken in Clear Gulf Waters
How did you discover this activity?
Our adult children wanted to go out on a dolphin tour while we were on spring break. I Googled, "private charter dolphin tours,” and TripShock came up. This looked like a great opportunity for a great price.
When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?
We booked two days before on Easter Sunday.
Why did you choose this activity?
We chose this because our family was excited to see wild dolphins in the Gulf of Mexico off of Panama City Beach.
How did you get to the activity location?
We drove a half hour to the marina, where Captain Marcus was waiting for us.
What was your experience with the activity’s staff?
Captain Marcus was the best! He is former military, knows so much about the area, and was very engaging with all 5 of us on board.
Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?
We had a great 2-hour trip on the water with Captain Marcus. The boat fit our family of 5 just perfectly. We can’t take our autistic adult son on a larger boat with other people since that would be sensory overload. So, the boat was just right for a family of 6 or less.
We went out from the inland marina to the Gulf and spotted dolphins within a half hour. The dolphins swam right up to our boat. Great pictures were taken in clear Gulf waters. After an hour or so, we requested Captain Marcus to take us back to the Shell Island beach which is in a state park. We walked around the beautiful beach for a short time, and Captain Marcus took a great picture of our whole family!
Then, on way back to the marina, Captain Marcus let our son with autism sit in the captain’s seat and “drive” the boat. Of course, the captain made sure there were no wrong turns! Great day on the water.
Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?
Any family with 6 people or less would love this excursion! Thank you Captain Marcus!
