What we chose to do
I heard that tickets were cheaper online. I found TripShock while searching.
We booked the tickets two days before the trip.
The kids and I are animal lovers. We were looking for a day trip and didn't want to travel too far. The Audubon Zoo also has a small waterpark, so it was a great option.
It was only a three hour drive from home.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The train conductor was knowledgeable and had us laughing.
The kids loved the train ride. The next time we go I will pay for the train first. You get a bracelet and can get on or off as many times as you like throughout the day This, of course, would have saved us alot of walking.
There is a fountain and slide the the kids enjoyed, as well as a large tree that they were able to climb. There is a large variety of animals, which include several giraffes.
The food was not horribly expensive, so you can eat there without breaking the bank. They also allow ice chests, so you can bring a wagon.
We literally spent all day and had a blast, but still didn't do everything. We will definitely be going back.
Yes! It is great for the whole family. There is so much to do, including: interaction with animals, jungle gyms, informationals, huge gift shop, and of course water fun.
